so its the new craze, or has been the craze for quite some time but as the place is always packed we delayed the trying of it until now.
a week ago, as i was browsing facebook had a friend post that they were there having laksa, with the weather being hot and cold i was craving it too!
so as i always do, i look up the menu and started to see what i would eat if we went... i came across deep fried chicken skin! have a friend that we go dining with that whenever we go to a particular pho place she orders crispy chicken and ONLY eats the skin! so i saw it and immediately thought of her!
as quickly as i did i messaged her about having a plate of deep fried chicken skin! we tee up a time and off we went!
thinking it was tuesday night at 7:30pm didn't think we needed to book anything as it was mid week, how wrong was i! queued for about 25 min, and got seated and showed how to order.
have pads to write down the code next to each dish on the menu, quantity you want and any "requests" if any. has a bell on the table to ring when you finish writing and they take it away.
the 5 of us we ordered WAY too much food!
3 had laksa, 1 had rice with curry and chicken, last had deep fried chicken skin with rice and roti. we also got some satay sticks to share!
within... 10 min the first laksa starts to arrive.
it was weird that the mains came out and the roti to share and satay sticks took longer.
sorry no photos of this night.. was so hungry everyone dug in as soon as something arrived!
it was about $100-105 for the 5 of us. so it was a pretty good deal considering there was 1 roti dish we barely touched!
our return trip today, we enjoyed greatly!
seafood laksa with prawns, muscles, eggplants, fish cakes, fried tofu, bean sprout.
price was amazing! $14.90
overall we love it and will go back despite the lines! :p
hippo out!
